Barbara J. Brown received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Washington in Seattle where she studied with the National Medal of Arts Recipient Jacob Lawrence. Brown is not only a working artist she has been active in the art community for many years, organizing auctions for Allied Arts, running a small gallery in Pioneer Square, the art center of Seattle, and working as an art consultant.

Brown’s work continues to parallel her discovery and fascination with nature, which has been her driving theme for over thirty years. Her fine art photographs are delicate, crisp images in beautiful vibrant color capturing Natures light. Through the medium of photography, Brown pursues compositions with a focus on light and texture. Her work is collected nationally and has been exhibited in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Atlanta and New York.
